Limited One Year Warranty
1) Amfit, Inc. warrants for a period of one
year, all new Digitizers and Mills, purchased and operated in the United
States and Canada, to conform to the manufacturer’s specifications
and be free from defects in workmanship and materials. Customer assistance
regarding the warranty or purchase of an extended maintenance service
plan may be obtained by calling (360) 573-9100.
2) Amfit does not offer on-site repairs. Any equipment requiring repairs
must be returned to Amfit, Inc., Vancouver, Washington. All service/repairs
will be conducted at the factory; call our service line at 1-888-699-2100
for more information. Amfit will provide its best efforts to complete
the service/repair within 1 week after receipt of equipment. For customers
owning a mill, during the period the mill is not in service, Amfit
will
provide insole fabrication at its central facility for a discounted
price: a) under warranty, blank cost plus $3.00 per pair or, b) out
of warranty, $28.00 per pair.
3) Amfit will, at its option, repair without charge for parts and labor.
During the first 6 months of the warranty Amfit will pay the shipping
and insurance charges to and from Amfit, and during the second 6 months
of the warranty shipping and insurance charges are the responsibility
of the customer.
4) Shipping damages or missing accessories must be reported within seven
(7) days of receipt of equipment. Absolutely no exceptions.
5) Should your Amfit product prove defective during its warranty period,
please phone or fax Amfit directly, describing in detail the problem.
An Amfit representative will contact you and attempt to resolve your
problem by telephone or by modem connection. If the problem can not
be solved by telephone or through modem diagnostics, the Amfit technical
representative will issue an RMA number for the return of equipment
for factory service.
6) Any defective parts replaced under warranty must be returned to Amfit
within seven (7) days of actual receipt of replacement parts. Failure
to return defective parts will result in the full retail price of the
new part being billed to your account.
7) When returning equipment for factory repairs, please make sure the
product is securely packaged in its original container or a proper equivalent.
Products arriving damaged due to improper packaging will remain the
sole responsibility of the shipper. Include proof of original purchase
date or a copy of your maintenance service contract. Also include any
detailed notes you may have made regarding equipment failure and names
of technical personnel you have spoken with regarding the problem. Please
write your RMA number on the outside of the package and on all documentation
included with returned equipment.

8) Limited One Year Warranty Coverage and Exceptions:
This warranty only covers use in the United States and Canada. Amfit
is not responsible for warranty service should the Amfit label or logo
or the rating label or serial number be removed or should the product
fail to be properly maintained or fail to function properly as a result
of misuse, abuse, neglect, improper shipping, damage caused by natural
disasters such as fire, flood, and lightning, vandalism, acts of war,
improper electrical current, non-Amfit issued software problems, use
of non-Amfit EVA insole blanks, or services performed other than by
an Amfit Authorized Service Technician. If a claimed defect can not
be identified or reproduced in service, you will be responsible for
costs incurred.
A) Coverage
With exceptions below, Amfit will cover all parts and labor as required
to repair and maintain each piece of equipment as contracted for a period
of one year from date of the contract. Cutting motor brushes are warranted
for 90 days from date of contract.
B) Exceptions (Items not covered)
For Digitizers: External Accessories, Toe Plates, Calibration Plates,
Top Cover Assemblies, Hand Railing, Fan Covers and Filter Assemblies,
Power and Accessory Cable Assemblies
For Mills: Cutting Motor Brushes (over 90 days), Cutting Motor Heads,
Mill Stands and Accessories, Power and Accessory Cable Assemblies, Insole
Trays, Milling Motors (if the failure is caused by customer’s
failure to replace motor brushes in a timely fashion) If mill failure
is due to the use of non-Amfit EVA insole blanks, the warranty is void.
THE WARRANTY AND REMEDY PROVIDED ABOVE ARE EXCLUSIVE AND IN LIEU OF
ALL OTHER EXPRESS WARRANTIES AND UNLESS STATED HEREIN, ANY STATEMENTS
OR REPRESENTATIONS MADE BY ANY OTHER PERSON OR FIRM ARE VOID. THE DURATION
OF ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR
PURPOSE ON YOUR AMFIT PRODUCT SHALL BE LIMITED TO THE DURATION OF THE
EXPRESS WARRANTY SET FORTH ABOVE EXCEPT AS PRECEDED IN THIS WRITTEN
WARRANTY. NEITHER AMFIT, INC. NOR ITS AFFILIATES SHALL BE LIABLE FOR
ANY LOSS, INCONVENIENCE, OR DAMAGE, INCLUDING DIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL,
OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, RESULTING FROM THE USE OR INABILITY TO USE
THE AMFIT PRODUCT WHETHER RESULTING FROM BREACH OF WARRANTY OR ANY OTHER
LEGAL THEORY.
Limited Extended Maintenance
Service Plan
1) A “Limited Extended Maintenance Service
Plan” can be purchased at the following price, payable with the
initial equipment purchase (at a discount) or prior to the expiration
of your original warranty period (see price schedule below).

2) Purchasing a "Limited Extended Maintenance Service Plan":
A) Customer assistance regarding the extended maintenance plan or purchase
of an extended maintenance service plan may be obtained by calling
(360) 573-9100.
B) Amfit has the right to inspect all equipment prior to allowing the
purchase of a
"Limited Extended Maintenance Service Plan".
C) Once on the program, if you wish to extend the policy into another
year, you may do so at the current price schedule. To continue the policy
without penalty or interruption, you must renew your contract at least
45 days prior to expiration of the current service agreement.
3) What Amfit "Limited Extended Maintenance Service Plan"
Will Cover:
A) Amfit, Inc. warrants the equipment to conform to the manufacturer’s
specifications for a period of one year from the expiration date of
the original/existing one year warranty.
B) Should your Amfit product prove defective during its extended warranty
period, please phone or fax Amfit directly, describing in detail the
problem. An Amfit representative will attempt to resolve your problem
by telephone or by modem connection. If the problem can not be solved
by telephone or through modem diagnostics, the Amfit technical representative
will issue an RMA number for the return of equipment for factory service.
C) Amfit will, at its option, repair the defective unit without charge
for parts and labor. (Shipping and insurance charges to and from Amfit
are the responsibility of the customer, not Amfit.)
D) When returning equipment for factory repairs, please make sure the
product is securely packaged in its original container or a proper equivalent.
