"Prior to the
issue of the Custom-Built Foot Supports, it was all I could do to
work an eight-hour shift without my feet and legs aching. If I worked
over my eight-hour shift, my legs would actually hurt to the point,
I would have to sit down, remove my shoes and rub my calf muscles,
and then return to work. By the end of a twelve-hour shift, I would
be walking with a limp and would really be suffering. I have had
my Custom-Built Foot Supports for three weeks. It took a couple
of days to get used to them, but now my feet do not hurt. I worked
a twelve-hour shift over the weekend and at the end of the shift,
I could have worked another four hours.
I am totally amazed at how well these Custom-Built Foot Supports
work, and I am thankful I have them." – Bob

"Prior to being
involved in the foot care program with ArchCrafters, if I spent
the whole on my feet at work, by the end of the day my feet would
be tired. Now I do not feel like that at the end of the day. I found
that my work shoes feel so comfortable it is like wearing tennis
shoes all day. My feet feel good.
Before, when I worked in the plant with the maintenance personnel
for a full day, at the end of the day, I would go home and have
to sit in a chair and put my feet up. Now it is no big deal. Some
people refer to painful feet at the end of the workday as 'My dogs
are barking at me at the end of my work day'. That is not the case
for me anymore.
I go to the fitness center and work out. I found out that the strength
of my knees has increased. Before, my knees would pop when I was
walking in the plant. My knees do not have that problem anymore.
I am still interested in learning if the foot supports are going
to help me with my golf game. I like to wear my foot supports in
my golf shoes and do not like to go golfing without them.

"As a process
engineer in Advance Manufacturing Engineering, I have spent a great
deal of time walking around our manufacturing facilities. I can't
think of a better way to improve our working conditions, and ease
our sore feet than ArchCrafters custom insoles.
I have met (your representative) and I am pressed that he has put
his eight years of plant floor experience to work helping others.
The custom insoles he makes will help provide support and cushioning
for those of us that have to walk concrete floors that shoes makers
are not able to provide.
You and I both know how it feels to walk several miles a day in
our manufacturing facilities. I strongly support ArchCrafters efforts
to improve working conditions by supplying ergonomic aids."

"Before I had
my custom-built foot supports from ArchCrafters my lower back had
a lot of pain and my back would go numb. I had a lot of leg pain
and the veins in my legs would burst and my legs would go to sleep
or just go numb. I would go to sleep at night and I would wake up
and my leg would be completely numb.
I walk a lot now that I have foot supports my legs are not as tired.
I can really tell the difference with my foot supports, my legs
don't hurt when I am at work. The benefit is to my whole body and
I do not go to chiropractor as much either.
I seem to have more energy. When I go home at night I don't just
sit around, I have energy to do things. The foot supports help me
to feel much healthier than I did before.
The foot supports are definitely the best thing I have worn in my
shoes."

"Having had a
history of back problems (including back fusion surgery) and also
a painful heel spur on my left foot, I was very interested in trying
the Merg custom-built foot supports. Now that I have been wearing
the foot supports for seven months, the pain is greatly reduced.
The foot supports have been a great improvement. The foot supports
have also reduced my constant tripping due to foot dragging."
– John Clinton, Ford Motor Company
Michigan Truck Plant, Ergonomics Coordinator |
"I do a lot of
walking on the job, as a millwright and trainer. Over the years
I have had a lot of pain in my feet, especially my toe and heel.
When I got out of bed in the morning, the first few steps were always
very painful. The first thing I noticed after only one week of wearing
my new foot supports was the pain in my heel was gone. I would say
that the Merg foot supports have helped my immensely. I can even
walk while playing golf, which I could not do before. Now I have
no more foot pain. "
– Jim Harmount, Ford Woodhaven Stamping |
"Before I had
my custom built foot supports from Merg, I had heel spur problems.
I have been wearing my foot supports for 6 months now, and they
are great. I do not have heel spur problems like I did before. I
have worked here at General Motors Saginaw Metal Casting Operations
for 28 years now, and I have put a lot of miles on my feet, so these
foot supports are really nice. I was using the over the counter
insoles and they did not help me like the Merg custom-built foot
supports. It is important to make sure that the foot supports are
placed in the proper shoes. If they are not used in a shoe that
has a removable insole and is flat on the bottom, then the foot
supports do not work as well as they could. These foot supports
work great for many purposes. I even use them during my fitness
training. I would like to get a second pair."
– Kenneth Hudson, General Motors, Saginaw Metal Casting Operations |
"This is to let
you know that the study you conducted at Vico Products in 1997 with
our company was greatly appreciated by a lot of employees. We were
able to find out what it is like to work "pain free" on
cement floors. The orthotics I have really keep my heels happy all
day. My job requires me to do a lot of walking around the plant
each day and my feet really get sore. The orthotic inserts and new
boots helped out more than I expected. I notice that when I’m
not wearing the orthotics, I can get foot pain quickly. I tend to
walk barefoot a lot in the summer months and I can tell the difference
now.
As you know, I ordered a pair of extra orthotic inserts for my street
shoes and I’ve been really happy with them in my $4.00 pair
of tennis shoes. I hope to purchase some more shoes that I can wear
them in soon. If you are thinking of doing any other companies in
the future and want me to come and talk about the study or the orthotics,
please give me a call. I enjoyed working with you on the one at
Vico and I think we both came away with more knowledge."
